The Association was provided with a small amount of money by DVA for distribution to members who may have needed help with medical and health related expenses. As it was not possible to identify those most in need it was decided to randomly select 27 members and provide each of these members with around $30 each.
The Vice-President (Dean Martin), the Treasurer (Werner Golla) and Secretary (Russ James) met over the internet using the Zoom teleconferencing tool and selected members of the Association using a random number generation tool.
Initially the Association had planned to send $30 gift vouchers but the overhead of around $8 per card/voucher was considered to be excessive. The alternative is to ask those selected members to provide their bank account details to the Secretary so that the Association might use the Bank Transfer facility. Any questions should be addressed to the Secretary or Treasurer.
