John David HAMILTON passed away 10 July 2019 John joined the Australian Regular Army on 11 September 1968 and was discharged on 10 September 1974. After the normal three-month stint at 1 Recruit Training Battalion Kapooka), John was posted to the Armoured Centre at Puckapunyal where he was trained as Centurion driver (Driver, AFV). He was posted to 1st Armoured Regiment on 21 February 1969 and spent many months on the ‘Pucka Range’ prior to being posted to B Squadron 1st Armoured Regiment (South Vietnam) on 9 September 1969. B Squadron was re-designated as A Squadron on 23 December 1969. During his time in Vietnam, John was detached to Detachment 1 Forward Delivery Troop for fourteen days. J

Stan (Bruce) Weaver passed away 27th August 2019 aged 61 Bruce (Stan) joined the Australian Regular Army on 19 July 1978 and was discharged on 18 July 1984. After the normal three-month stint at 1 Recruit Training Battalion Kapooka, Bruce was posted to the Armoured Centre at Puckapunyal where he was trained as a Leopard driver (Driver, AFV). He was posted to the 1st Armoured Regiment on 20 December 1978 and no doubt spent many months on the ‘Pucka Range’. During his time at the Regiment, Bruce was also trained as a Dozer driver (Driver Special Equipment (Tank Dozer) and Crewman Gunner/Signaller. Michele (Mick) FRANCETICH passed away 19 May 2019 Mick joined the Australian Regular Army on 4 July 1966 and was discharged on 3 July 1972. After the normal three-month stint at 1 Recruit Training Battalion, Mick was posted to RAEME Training Centre at Bandiana and was trained as a Radio Mechanic. In January 1968 he was posted to 2 Base Workshop at Moorebank, NSW. He was posted to C Squadron Section 1st Armoured Regiment LAD on 13 January 1969 in South Vietnam. This was subsequently re-designated as B Squadron Section 1st Armoured Regiment on 11 February 1969. C Sqn (1971) Reunion Bruce Cameron advises that a get-together of all personnel who were part of C Sqn 1 Armd Regt (including LAD and FDT) in Vietnam, is being organised. C Sqn took over from A Sqn on 17 December 1970. All those who served with the Sqn for any period from that date on are being asked if they would like to receive updates about the proposed 'mini-reunion'' in Canberra. The idea is for a dinner to be held on Sunday 6 June 2021, following a Last Post Ceremony at the AWM. Neville Stanley Hammond JONES, passed away 17 July 2019, aged 65 years

Nev was born on 16 July 1955 and joined the Australian Regular Army when he was 25 years of age. After the normal period at 1RTB Nev trained as a Crewman Driver Signaller at Armoured Centre. He was posted to the Regiment on 9 July 81 and remained for 13 years. He then spent a number of years in both 2/14 QMI and 1/15 RNSWL. At some stage Nev retrained as a Storeman Technical and was promoted to Quartermaster Sergeant. Nev was also posted to 1 Aviation Regiment, 2nd Cavalry Regiment, Land Warfare Centre and finally to Army Aviation Training Centre.
