Mini-team with 1 Tp sighted two enemy.  Enemy also engaged by 2RAR/NZ inf platoon (India 42).  1 Tp moved 300yds to inf position to support.  No result.

 

7 November 1970.

Sqn (-) remained Nui Dat; 1 Tp returned to Nui Dat from AO Judy; 2 Tp commenced ready reaction and on call for support 2RAR/NZ in AO Judy; 3 Tp continued support of 7RAR in AO Naomi and protection of US Arty; 4 Tp deployed from Nui Dat to AO Judy to commence support 2RAR/NZ and protect LCT (primary task).

 

8 November 1970.

Sqn (-) remained Nui Dat; 1 Tp rest and maintenance; 2 Tp continued reaction and on call for support 2RAR/NZ in AO Judy; 3 Tp continued support of 7RAR in AO Naomi and protection of US Arty; 4 Tp continued support for 2RAR/NZ and protection LCT (primary task). 

4Alpha returned to Nui Dat with unserviceable engine and replaced by ZeroEcho.

 

9 November 1970.

Sqn (-) remained Nui Dat; 1 Tp rest and maintenance; 2 Tp continued reaction and on call for support 2RAR/NZ in AO Judy; 3 Tp continued support of 7RAR in AO Naomi, escorting convoy from FSB Scobie to Nui Dat in morning of abandoning of Scobie; 4 Tp continued support for 2RAR/NZ and protection LCT (primary task).

 

10 November 1970.

4 Tp with inf platoon located old enemy camp.  No contact.  Camp destroyed.

 

11 November 1970.

12 November 1970.

Sqn (-) remained Nui Dat; 1 Tp assumed ready reaction force from 2 Tp;  2 Tp continued support for 2RAR/NZ with night ambush in vic Hoa Long against expected D65 resupply parties; 3 Tp continued support of 7RAR in AO Naomi; 4 Tp continued support for 2RAR/NZ and protection LCT (primary task).

 

13 November 1970.

Sqn (-) remained Nui Dat; 1 Tp ready reaction force;  2 Tp continued support for 2RAR/NZ ambush ops in vic Hoa Long with support of night ambushes; 3 Tp continued support of 7RAR in AO Naomi; 4 Tp continued support for 2RAR/NZ and protection LCT (primary task).

1900-2030hrs.  2 Tp transported inf to night ambush location and then returned to Nui Dat.

 

14 November 1970.

Sqn (-) remained Nui Dat; 1 Tp ready reaction force;  2 Tp remained in support of 2RAR/NZ from 1ATF base, transporting inf ambush platoon to position and then returning to Sqn lines after dusk; 3 Tp continued support of 7RAR in AO Naomi; 4 Tp continued support for 2RAR/NZ and protection LCT (primary task).

 

15 November 1970.

Sqn (-) remained Nui Dat; 1 Tp ready reaction force;  2 Tp continued on standby for support 2RAR/NZ in AO Judy; 3 Tp continued support of 7RAR, moving to a position for quick reaction in support of ops; 4 Tp continued support for 2RAR/NZ and protection LCT (primary task).

 

19 November 1970.

Sqn (-) remained Nui Dat; 1 Tp ready reaction force;  2 Tp continued on standby for support 2RAR/NZ in AO Judy; 3 Tp continued support of 7RAR, moving to a position for quick reaction in support of ops; 4 Tp returned to Nui Dat.

 

20 November 1970. 

Sqn remained Nui Dat conducting mounted parade, church service and sports day in celebration of Cambrai Day.  1 Tp departed at 1500hrs to support 7RAR in relief of 3 Tp in AO Naomi.  3Tp returned to Nui dat at 0835hrs and participated in Sqn activities.

Sqn (-) remained at Nui Dat; 1 Tp returned to Nui Dat following support to 7RAR in AO Naomi; 2 Tp continued to protect LCT; 3 Tp deployed in support of 7RAR in AO Naomi; 4 Tp continued on call to support 2RAR/NZ and engaged in night ambush ops in vicinity of Hoa Long in support of 2RAR/NZ.

 

24 November 1970.

27 November 1970.

General. 

Verbal intelligence report indicated 3 Tp shelling of caves in Long Hais on 25 Nov 70 created casualties.  Int report indicated evacuation of dead and wounded on ni 25/26 Nov 70 from area.
